Otter PR has nabbed what is considered an “Oscar” for the business world. Specifically, they received the Silver Stevie® Award in the 20th Annual International Business Awards. These particular awards recognize high-achieving businesses, and the 2023 winners were selected from over 3700 nominations from 61 countries.
Initially, when Otter PR was founded, the organization set out to conquer the PR world with a client-centric, innovative approach and become the best PR firm in the nation. Now, the Otter PR team’s hard work and achievements have been noticed globally in the advertising, marketing, and public relations category.
“Winning this award is a testament to the unwavering dedication and wide variety of exceptional skills the entire Otter PR team has,” says co-founder and CMO Jay Feldman, “The collective effort of our workplace has been recognized worldwide, and I couldn’t be prouder of what we’ve accomplished together.”
Since their formation in 2002, the Stevie Awards have been hailed by the New York Post as a way of separating the “good guys” from the “scoundrels” in international business. It’s a distinction not lost on Otter PR’s CEO and co-founder, Scott Bartnick. “I am truly honored to have been considered for the Stevie® Awards, let alone to have won,” he says.

In a business climate that can often overflow with untrustworthy players, being recognized for being high-quality, high-achieving, and customer-focused holds a lot of weight for the Otter PR team. Nominees are judged by respected figures in international business. Specifically, they are judged on several criteria, including integrity, creativity, and leadership in one’s industry.
The win is a strong motivation for Feldman and Bartnick. They have built Otter PR from a simple idea whose humble beginnings were formed in Bartnick’s apartment. Now, they are a nationally recognized top player in PR. “We are committed to delivering exceptional results for our clients, and this award motivates us to continue pushing the boundaries of excellence in our industry,” Bartnick says.
Otter PR awarded Stevie Award for Company of the Year – Advertising, Marketing, & Public Relations
The Stevie Awards are the brainchild of businessman Michael P. Gallagher, who wanted a way to “restore public trust” after the much-publicized Enron scandal in 2001. At the time of the award’s creation, Gallagher laid out the purpose of the core of the awards.
“This kind of service is vital now more than ever,” Gallagher said to the New York Post in 2002. “There are executives and gifted people running 5 million businesses here, but just a few bad managers are giving all of the business world a bad name.”
Since its inception, the “Oscars of the Business World” have recognized hundreds of businesses that go the extra mile for their clients day in and day out. There are eight programs under the Stevie Award umbrella:
- The Asia-Pacific Stevie Awards,
- The German Stevie Awards,
- The Middle East & North Africa Stevie Awards,
- The American Business Awards®,
- The International Business Awards®,
- The Stevie Awards for Women in Business,
- The Stevie Awards for Great Employers, and;
- The Stevie Awards for Sales & Customer Service.
Otter PR’s goals for the landscape of public relations closely align with what the Stevie Awards look for in a winning nominee. Therefore, it’s easy to see how their approach has won accolades from this year’s panel of judges. This approach includes guaranteed placements, transparent package pricing, and years of combined experience.
Where Otter is Headed
Above all, Otter PR intends to take their win and use it to push them towards even higher levels of excellence in the PR space. Already, they have established themselves as one of the Top 100 PR firms in the nation. They have also received a number of other prestigious accolades. Their awards include the Clutch #1 PR firm, G2 #1 PR firm, UpCity #1 PR firm, and being named one of O’Dwyer’s Top PR firms. Now, the firm can add “Stevie® award winner” to the list of their accomplishments.
“The Otter PR team is made up of fantastic and talented publicists, writers, and marketers who give 110 percent for our clients,” says Feldman. “We are extremely proud of this achievement and look forward to seeing how our innovation in the realm of PR will continue to shape the industry. Our persistence has brought us a long way from the apartment where Scott and I started.”
Moving forward, Otter PR is dedicated to furthering their commitment to innovation. They stand proud of their legacy, eager to earn even more accolades in the world’s premier business awards programs.Tags: business success, Digital marketing, media relations, PR, Public relations
