Hi, I'm Dan Matics!

Dan got his start in journalism and TV news while studying at Marshall University in Huntington, WV.

 

For over six years, Dan worked for FOX-owned TV Stations as a reporter in Tampa FL — the 11th largest television news market in the country. Outside of the Tampa market, Dan’s work has also aired on FOX TV stations across the nation, including FOX News Channel and LIVENOW from FOX.

 

Most recently, Dan worked as an anchor for the top-rated COX Media Group station in Charlotte, NC, before joining Otter PR as the firm’s Senior Media Strategist. His TV news background helps our clients identify what makes them unique, and how best to get their story featured in a variety of media platforms.

 

 

Dan’s favorite type of client is ambitious with a strong personal story or background. He also loves coming up with story-telling solutions for small businesses and nonprofits.

 

 

Outside of work, Dan loves taking advantage of what living in Florida has to offer, including the Sunshine State’s world-famous beaches, boating, golfing, kayaking, and paddle boarding. He also enjoys trying new restaurants, wine, and cigars, as well as spending time with his friends and loved ones.
