A Little About Myself
Background:
Amanda recently relocated to Orlando, Florida in the late fall of 2021. She has a Bachelor’s in Sociology and originally wanted to work in hospice, but she caught the entrepreneurial bug and started her own wedding and portrait photography business in 2008. That business was successful for 14 years, landing her a distinction as one of the Top 100 Senior Portrait Photographers in the US, as well as accolades for a hospice photography program that she started.
Amanda has always been a natural writer, whether it be on her own blog or freelance for local newspapers like The Beloit Daily News. Now, she is glad to bring her talents to Otter PR and its stream of clients.

Favorite Client Types:
Amanda enjoys writing for clients who are socially conscious or advocates for causes close to their passions. She also particularly enjoys writing for amateur entrepreneurs, where she can best put her past experiences to use.

Otter Things to Know:
Amanda is in the midst of writing a novel set amid the Riot Grrrl scene of the 1990s that she hopes to start querying soon. She has various hobbies, including cross-stitch and going to concerts with her husband, who she met through high school theater. She’s a big fan of the bands Jimmy Eat World and Ghost, which she recognizes, “is an odd blend.”
Amanda loves the show “Hamilton” and anything turn of the century, from books to houses. She has three red-headed daughters Betty, Molly, & Bridget, and also once served Johnny Cash a slushie!
