Hi, I'm Amanda Reseburg

I’ll be your writer here at the Otter Raft! I look forward to learning more about you and your brand to find out how my writing abilities can help your media placements and coverage meet your goals.

It's great to meet you!

A Little About Myself

Background:
Before becoming a writer, Amanda studied sociology with a desire to work in hospice care. She and her husband used to own a record store before she caught the entrepreneurial bug and decided to open her own wedding and portrait studio, which she ran for 15 years. Amanda’s photography work earned her the distinction as one of the US’s Top 100 Senior Portrait Photographers in 2018 and gained nationwide attention for a volunteer hospice photography program she started in 2009.

Amanda started writing professionally in 2016 as a freelancer for her local newspaper in Wisconsin, initially covering news for a special section for those 55 and over before relocating to Orlando in 2021. She has always been a natural writer, whether on her own blog or as a freelancer for local newspapers like The Beloit Daily News. Now, she is thrilled to utilize her talents for Otter PR and its extensive range of clients!

Favorite Client Types:
Amanda loves writing for socially conscious clients and those who advocate for causes close to their passions, including LGBTQIA+ rights and inclusion, healthcare — including elderly, memory care, and diabetes-related care — and politics. She also particularly enjoys writing for amateur entrepreneurs, where she can best put her past experiences to use.

Otter Things To Know:
Amanda has been married to her husband for 18 years and has three redheaded girls. She has a special interest in social causes and has volunteered for organizations like Mom’s Demand Action, Medicare 4 All Florida, and Central Florida Community Arts, to name just a few.

When she isn’t working, volunteering, or “doing the mom thing,” Amanda enjoys hiking and reading. She is also a massive fan of the hit Broadway musical “Hamilton” and is currently writing two books — one fiction and one non-fiction. Her lifelong dream is to see at least one of her books traditionally published and to someday compete on “Jeopardy!”

Are you a good fit?

The amount of publicity they have generated for has been nothing short of impressive. It has dramatically increased new clients by 30% and I have seen my platforms grow 2-fold
