Armoured One is a company that trains schools to respond and defend against shooters, as well as armouring the windows with bulletproof covering. We were excited to take on this amazing company and help them in their mission of preventing shootings at schools across the world.
Armoured One came to us mid-pandemic. At the time, all schools were shut down. The company was in the middle of a massive pivot. During the pandemic’s height, Armoured One was using their immense production resources to make masks and barriers for protection against COVID when the materials were in dire need.
The issue was that the market had no idea that Armoured One was working on this amazing project. They wanted to capitalize on the story for a couple of reasons. First, they wanted to supply more businesses with the protective materials they needed for COVID. And second, Armoured One wanted to increase brand awareness so that, when COVID was over, they could get back to their mission of saving children in schools.
We focused on a couple of major media points. The founder, Tom, had an incredible story, being from a Swat background and now helping to prevent school shootings. In addition, Tom is also a terrific spokesperson and entrepreneur. As such, we put him out in front of the story with an opportunity to interview.
Most importantly, we used the amazing story of the company’s pivot from bulletproof barriers to COVID protective barriers as an inspirational feat in business and leadership. The story was a massive success.
In the end, Armoured One gained national coverage on TV news as well as online in Forbes and many others.
