Hi, I'm John Denton

I have covered the NBA for the past 24 years, something that allowed me to meet and interview some of the greatest players in the history of basketball.

It's great to meet you!

A Little About Myself

I am originally from West Tennessee, but have lived in Central Florida for the past 24 years. I played football and graduated from the University of Tennessee-Martin. In 2021, I received UTM’s Communications Department Distinguished Alumni award. After college, I worked for newspapers in Tennessee and Florida for 18 years and won eight national writing awards as a sports reporter. In 2009, I was hired by UCF Athletics Department to be the lead staff writer and cover all of its sports teams. From 2012-20, I worked for the Orlando Magic where I covered the team daily and wrote all of the stories on OrlandoMagic.com. I started work with Otter PR in March and have greatly enjoyed my time while learning more about PR and helping clients have tremendous success. My girlfriend, Liz, and I have two children — Abby (17) and Dylan (15). Both are great students and athletes and are the center of our universes. In my spare time, I cover the NBA and college football for The Associated Press and I am a regular analyst/contributor to Spectrum Sports’ FaceOff and 360 TV shows in Central Florida.

I had tremendous success while working with Bitcoin of America, helping them earn several major media placements. In addition to two televised spots on CBS WFOR-TV (Channel 4, Miami), I helped Bitcoin of America get coverage in the Miami Herald, Yahoo Business and Advisor Hub.

Thank you so much for visiting my page. I look forward to working with you and showing you all the ways that Otter PR can help you grow your brand. Take care!
