A Little About Myself

Background:

Allison is a graduate of Dartmouth College, where she majored in English and Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. During her time there, she became recognized as an Awarded Journalist for her contributions to The MirrorThe Dartmouth‘s weekly culture and lifestyle magazine — and served as head graphic designer for Dartmouth’s Student Wellness Center.

Before joining Otter PR, Allison worked as a freelance consultant, designer, and journalist. In each project she leads, she blends her academic foundation with a deep passion for design-driven branding, creating content that is both strategically aligned with clients’ goals and visually impactful for brands and audiences alike.

Allison now brings her nearly 10 years of social media experience in content management, influencer partnerships, and brand consulting to her work as Otter PR’s Social Media Strategist. She leads social media and influencer marketing initiatives from strategy to execution — researching trends and creators, developing on-brand content, managing posting and engagement, and analyzing performance to drive growth. She also oversees influencer outreach campaigns, from defining goals and sourcing creators to managing outreach, tracking interest, and ensuring campaigns align with brand objectives and deliver measurable results.

While Allison has helped clients across multiple industries secure valuable media coverage through her social media and communications expertise, she especially enjoys partnering with wellness brands, creatives, non-profits, and small businesses to bring their stories to life. She is particularly passionate about partnering with these types of clients because she sees their work as deeply human — rooted in impact, purpose, and community.

Since joining Otter PR, Allison’s work on social media strategy with Music Beats Cancer and America’s National Parks has been highly impactful for her, given their respective, meaningful missions to win the war on cancer and preserve America’s historical parkland. For her, helping translate those missions into stories and content that connect and resonate with audiences is the most rewarding part of her role here at Otter PR.

Another two of the most successful influencer projects that Allison felt especially connected to (largely due to her Italian heritage) were social media campaigns for two new Italian-themed restaurant brands: Mr. O1 Pizza and Che Vita. Her work on both campaigns resulted in measurable improvements to each brand’s online visibility and engagement, thereby leading to increased patronage and revenue.

Otter Things to Know:

Outside of her professional life, Allison enjoys creative writing and spending time hiking. She also enjoys a mix of creative and active pursuits, including sewing and a long-standing love for Victorian literature and crooner music. She has also been an Irish dancer for 20 years, a passion that has taken her to Ireland and Scotland and continues to shape her appreciation for travel, culture, and the arts.
